1. Overview
View Stories (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools for discovering and viewing publicly available profile information and media, downloading eligible public media, managing app preferences, and accessing Free or Pro features.
This Privacy Policy applies to the View Stories mobile application and the support and legal pages available at viewstoriesapp.com.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- App identifiers and account information. The app may create an anonymous identifier so core functions, usage limits and entitlements can work. If you choose Apple sign-in, we may receive the account identifier and information Apple makes available based on your sharing choices.
- Search and feature activity. We may process usernames, profile links or other inputs you submit so we can return requested public information or media. History may be stored where that feature is enabled.
- Subscription information. We process product, entitlement, purchase and subscription-status information needed to provide Pro features. Payment-card details are handled by the App Store and are not provided to us.
- Device and diagnostics information. This may include device type, operating-system version, app version, language, network information, crash logs, performance information and diagnostic events.
- Analytics information. We may collect app interaction events to understand feature usage, reliability and performance.
- Notification information. If you allow notifications, a device push token and related delivery information may be processed.
- Support communications. If you contact us, we process the information included in your message and any diagnostics you choose to provide.
3. How we use information
- provide requested features and retrieve eligible public information;
- apply Free/Pro access, usage limits and subscription entitlements;
- restore purchases and maintain settings;
- detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, prevent fraud and protect the service;
- measure performance and improve features;
- send notifications you have enabled;
- apply service configuration, maintenance notices and required updates; and
- respond to support, privacy and account-deletion requests.
4. Public profile and media content
View Stories is designed to work with content that is publicly accessible through supported sources. The app does not promise access to private profiles, private messages, restricted content or content that is no longer publicly available.
When you enter a username, URL or similar input, that information may be transmitted to our systems or service providers as needed to perform the requested function, maintain security, enforce usage limits or diagnose service issues.
5. Service providers
We use third-party providers for functions such as cloud infrastructure, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, app configuration, subscription management, advertising, security and hosting. Those providers may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.
Purchases and subscription billing made through the App Store are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
6. Advertising
The Free version may display advertising. Depending on your device settings, consent choices and region, advertising providers may process device identifiers, network information, ad interactions and other information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention or, where permitted, personalization.
You can use the privacy and tracking controls provided by your device and any consent options shown in the app.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining subscription records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, meeting legal obligations and enforcing our agreements.
Some diagnostic, transaction or security records may be retained after account deletion where necessary for legitimate business or legal reasons.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction concerning certain personal information. Other rights may apply under local law.
- You can disable notifications through device settings.
- You can manage tracking and advertising permissions through device settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store account.
- If account deletion is available in the app, you can use Settings → Account → Delete Account.

9. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards may be used.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app, our practices or legal requirements. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date.
